(1982, Porto) Studied Art History, Contemporary Art and Visual Arts. Training in contemporary dance, performance, choreography, contact improvisation and dramaturgy. Started production work in 2001, on visual arts field, among other artistic disciplines (theater, music, contemporary dance), monitoring and organization of creations, programming and training. Galeria Fernando Santos, Balleteatro, Festival da Fábrica, Serralves em Festa, Alkantara Festival, Cão Danado Cia, are some of the organizations with whom she has collaborated and worked, before. Ana was a member of OOPSA |SOOPA collective. Scholarship InovArt 2010 in Berlin, with Uferstudios, and DanceWeb - Impulstanz 2012. Taught at Alquimia da Cor, Balleteatro Escola Profissional and Tanzfabrik Berlin. Her first solo work, Fraud by Nature, had premiere at Tanztage Berlin in 2012. She has worked as a performer or co-creator in performing arts projects | contemporary dance since 2006. Highlights Fabienne Audéoud, Madalena Vitorino, Jorge Gonçalves, Dinis Machado, Isabelle Schad, Sandra Wieser, Keith Hennessy, Sebastian Matthias and Davis Freeman, as some of the artists she has collaborated. Ana was participating member of a cooperative venture between Germany | France, research and critical development for performing arts | contemporary dance, Transfabrik, directed by Franz Anton Cramer (2013). She was part of Deborah Hay, Solo Commissioning Project 2012, “Dynamic”, which took place in Findhorn (Scotland). Collaborates regularly as dramaturge and choreographic support with international projects of independent artists. Since 2012, collaborates with Meg Stuart, as creation and choreography assistant (Built to Last, film project with Michael Borremans, Sketches | Notebook and Hunter). Co-founder of MEZZANINE association with Jorge Gonçalves since 2009.
